Would taking cold medicine actually prolong the cold? Because I'm seriously all set with having the cold, but also not that interested in coughing all day. What to do?

I think most people would say no. But some think that congestion and fever do help fight colds, flu, etc. (I'm not sure but I think there's more evidence for the fever thing.) Anyway, I've never heard anything about cough medicine prolonging a cold.
Two weeks of this bullshit! It's not a bad cold, for sure, but I would like it gone!
I manage to squeak into the office just barely before my supervisors (they showed up earlier than usual, that's just not buddies) in order to print off a few copies of my resume, just in case.
Now I'm off to steal some coffee.
Good luck with the ... appointment, shrift!
good luck Shrift!
Go, shrift, go!

Oh, my god, I hate the world today. And it seems to be returning the favor.
I think we should all amuse ourselves by making dirty jokes about shrift's interview.
I think she should practice her bunny dip before the interview.
