Funny enough, those shows had *no* cell phone rings for the entire runs!
Actually, during Shipwrecked there were several, all acknowledged. The first was on opening night, a friend of Melody's who worked for the NY Phil. Seriously, his phone rang during the second scene. It was horrible, all bleepy.
Should we make an annoucement about the watch n post in Sunnydale Press or does everyone who would care about it already read this thread?
Press announcement is totally appropriate and will allow folks who haven't kept up a chance to participate.
Better late than never- announcement posted.
I was watching the 5th season Buffy episode "Out of My Mind" tonight (the ep where Joyce collapses for the first time, Riley's heart goes beserk, the Initiative doctor returns to fix it, and Spike and Harmony kidnap the doctor to remove the chip in Spike's head), and noticed that the dialog seemed to echo Firefly in spots. Towards the beginning Spike offers Riley the use of his "cunning" knitting needles, and later Riley doesn't want to let the government doctors "get all whimsical with his insides."
I'm not remembering the timelines precisely -- when was Firefly in production at the same time as Buffy?
eta: "cunning" forever and always will make me think of Jayne and the hat his mom made for him. And the little piece of straw hanging out of it.
I think Firefly began and ended production during Buffy season 6.
Ok I'm going to ask this and then remove it cause I've still not figured this abbreviation out though I undestand context... eta means?
edited because I was so not paying attention to context...
"eta" on an edited post means (I think) "edited to add".
Yes, it meant "edited to add." And I rarely, rarely used acronyms because it grates against my English-major soul to do so, but that one slipped through. Sorry.
Shiny... had to go out and get 2 Firefly sets today. One to stand in for the one on loan a state away, and the other is being sent to my cousin in Iraq...
6 minutes!
