A question just came to mind that is probably best answered in fic. Who cut the crew's hair? I can imagine that either Zoe or Kaylee or both were a dab hand with the scissors in the way that my sister was. No cosmetology training, nothing fancy but good basic style. In fact, I can manage very simple haircuts myself - I could maintain Mal's with some semblance of competance.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.
I always figured Inara had training in maintaining hairstyles, for those occasions where she and possibly some other companions might be away from upscale salons. She was doing Kaylee's hair in The Train Job, I think. I imagine Jayne wouldn't let her near his head, though. Probably Mal, neither. Zoe's hair probably snatches scissors away from anyone who threatens its magnificence.
It amuses me that I'm currently working with someone named Dr. Simon Tam. He's an engineer, but still.

So there I was at work. Kinda bored. The univerisities web portal has a link to xkcd. Did I mention I was bored (I know, shocking, that it would happen at work!). Anyhow. I was looking at today's clip. Then hit next, and of course it didn't do anything, so I hit the first. Then started scrolling through them. And the 9th comic is FIREFLY!
