Today we finally did Secret Santa at work (Yes, the silly students leave for the holiday, and today was the first day we could all gather round). I got this mug: [link]

It was pretty easy to guess who my secret santa was. Given he's a fellow Browncoat, and the rest of the group thought it had something to do with an unplugged audio cable. @@ Silly muggles. At least they aren't purple bellies.

Catching up with The Big Bang Theory, ran into this flashback to when Leonard met Sheldon:

Sheldon: Roommates agree that Friday nights shall be reserved for watching Joss Whedon's brilliant new series, "Firefly."

Leonard: Does that really need to be in the agreement?

Sheldon: Might as well settle it now; it's going to be on for years.

Sad now.

But do they have a "suicide" pact?

A few episodes later, Sheldon talked about what other Sheldons in other universes might believe about ... something. I kept expecting him to say, "And in one of those universes, Firefly would be in its ninth season."

I did love that bit.

I suddenly have a hankering to watch a certain short vid, that combines Safe's "Big Damned Heroes" with The Messages "Heroes get other people killed [paraphrased]". Anyone got a link or know what the heckfire I'm talking about? Youtube just gave me scenes from Safe.

ION, I discovered that I have several coworkers who are Firefly/Joss Whedon fans, woot! Bonus, they seem to be genre fans. This never happens to me!!
