You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

OMG did we know this was based on a "Bonanza" episode?

Wounded in an ambush, Joe Cartwright is rescued by the Griswolds, a farming family. Delirious with fever, Joe experiences surrealistic flashbacks and bizarre disturbing visions (in one, he sees Hoss trying to kill him!) As his condition worsens, it becomes obvious that emergency surgery is called for-but Joe is too seriously injured to be moved from the Griswold farm. Featured in the cast of this superbly directed and photographed episode are Richard O'Brien and Peggy McCoy as Mr. and Mrs. Griswold, and David Huddleston as Doc Scully. Originally telecast October 3, 1971, "Bushwacked!" was written by Preston Wood. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

edited 'cause... is anyone watching these for the first time?

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Oh, Little Joe!

Plus, I probably shouldn't even mention it, but I'm very gratified to see that we're over 450 now.

Compassionately intolerant

I'm on for Wednesday and the not loving of the ep. Should make for interesting comments!

when i die, please bake my ashes into a brick and use me to hit fascists.

I'm on for Wednesday, even though I won't be here in real time. Also not in love with the ep (the interrogation scenes are gold, though). Maybe not so incidentally, this is the only ep I missed / forgot to tape during the original run of the show.

In other news, I saw Stagecoach for the first time this weekend, and I definitely saw some influence on Firefly, I think! (Firefly has much better women, though.)

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

I can make it this week. I agree with Una, I really like the interrogation scenes (especially Wash -- "have you ever been with a warrior woman?"). Oh, and I have to say that as far as least favorite episodes go, for me it's "Heart of Gold."

"I am the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world"

Ok I'm game as well this Wed. While this isn't a great episode I also agree it has it's highlights. It pretty much serves to further character development. Was this one shown 2nd?

ETA: My favorite episode is Objects in Space, followed closely by War Stories.

Those are probably my two favorites. Plus Out of Gas.
