You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

First xmas present purchased! Thanks, Epic!

I love this from the intervierw with the artist, asked to recommend a children's book

I can't recommend highly enough "The Monster at the End of this Book". It's a cautionary tale of modern man's disconnect from his true self featuring an award-worthy performance by Grover, and a twist ending that will leave you reeling.

I had a crazy thought. Firefly and Serenity are both streaming on Netflix. On the Xbox (dunno if other streaming platforms allow for this) have a "watch party" thingy. What if we do a watch n post party?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

That's so crazy, it just might work!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Seems you're forgetting about some of omnis' other plans...

No, I'm just jealous because I don't have an Xbox.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

That's a great idea, omnis. I was thinking about suggesting a Firefly watch-n-post over the holiday myself, but I am lazy.

We did it a few years ago and managed to gather quite a few people who were interested in it. If you are really interested in doing this, we/you should start nailing down some details and the rest of us can go out into the other threads and start preaching on the street corners to let people know about it.

shit. This is why I'm not a politician. I'm an idea man. Not so good at the "Julie the Cruise Director" thing. I welcome all help. First, we need a plan. (Yes, sometimes I overthink things).

OK. Let's see.
1) Must see if they can be done with "Watch Party"
Check! They both can!
2) Must do a test run to see how many can "join the party"
3) See if in a viewing, is everyone, indeed viewing at the same time (give or take a few seconds)
3a) Can someone join in late? Will they be where we are? Or starting from the beginning?
4) Can we chat with headsets? Would that be a good thing? Or would that ruin the whole notion of a "Watch n Post"
5) We all need to share gamertag's (it seems we don't have to actually be xbox "friends". We can simply enter a gamertag).
6) Pick a designated time to do a test
7) Pick a designated time to do the actual event
7a) Firefly or Serenity? I lean towards the first event being the movie. I think it will be a lot easier to get a good group together once, with multiple timezones and all, than 14 times.
8) PrOfIt!!

eta: I put a post in Press. I hope that is the right place for this type of thing. Finally finding some assertive back bone, I made an executive decision to pick the movie. Despite my crazy list above, I think a due date (rather watch date) would be prudent. Nothing gets action like a deadline. I propose Dec 26th. In an effort to avoid the malls.

Ah, I misapprehended your purpose in being here.... (sorry, I do so love that line from Badger). In any case, I won't be of any help in planning or participating since I don't have Xbox. I had been envisioning the old-fashioned, pop-in-the-DVD and do a watch-and-post type of thing, which isn't what you're talking about.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, I'm planning on popping in my dvd. I don't have Xbox, and even if I did (I have Wii) I don't have the bandwidth to stream video. I don't think it has to be complicated, does it?
