"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Never attribute to malice that which can be attributed to stupidity or laziness.

Oh, I think there was some malice, in that the network didn't like the show, but I think it was for mundane reasons like "we don't think this will do well". I believe there was a bit of making sure the prophecy was self-fulfilling on the part of Fox, but that's a CYA thing, not any sort of political chicanery.

Plus, I seriously doubt Smirky the Wonder Chimp has even heard of Firefly, let alone holds an opinion of it.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I took it to mean that suggesting Firefly was cancelled for a reason is as crazy as saying a PC might be better than a Mac.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

I took it to mean that suggesting Firefly was cancelled for a reason is as crazy as saying a PC might be better than a Mac.

No religious talk, please. It only leads to Crusades.

No I got that, I just don't get why suggesting Firefly got cancelled for a reason is crazy. Did it get cancelled accidentally instead? Reason doesn't suggest pro and con to me, it suggests causation. Now if he had said "for a good reason", I'd agree with the analogy.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I totally suck. My brain is a sieve and I've been exhausted all week after a stomach thing I had through Monday, and I've been swamped with this that and the other, but still, I totally suck.

cries pitifully in the corner, while sucking

libkitty, I'm sorry you have been feeling overwhelmed and that you had a stomach bug earlier in the week. I can't remember you doing anything sucky, and I don't care.

Awwww. The corner is starting to feel like a much better place. I just feel bad because I rally wanted to do the Objects in Space watch and post. I even set up a reminder, but completely forgot anyway. And I had gotten away from Bitches and Natter, and then back, and now I'm thousands behind again, with no prospects of that changing any time soon. I really miss spending more time here, but...
