Hee.
We watched Santa go by (our town fire department decorates the engine and drives around town with the lights and sirens on and someone dressed as Santa on the back waving at all the houses.) Then we had latkes and watched Heroes and Stardust. Now everyone else has gone to bed, and I'm watching Bells of St. Mary's. Tomorrow, Sweeney Todd and Indian food for dinner.
Tomorrow we have a traditional Jewish Christmas. The fridge is loaded with takeout Chinese food for us and friends, and afterwards we head out for a movie.
t Edit
Olympia is a small town: no Chinese restaurants are open tomorrow in the greater Olympia area, which is why we bought it tonight.
Well, another year of evidence against a god. I just got back from the Xmas Eve service and the church wasn't struck by lightning and I didn't spontaneously burst into flame. Good times.
of course you didn't. You are the Chosen One!
We usually go out for Chinese food on Christmas, but this year, we're meeting some friends for dinner, and they're Indian and recommended this Indian restaurant which is supposed to be fantastic. So we might be having Chinese food for lunch instead.
Aren't you in NY city?
t Understatement
A few more options

than we have in a tiny place like Olympia.
...Jealous now...
Heh. I'm in the NYC suburbs right now. (Generally I'm in DC, but I'm visiting my parents for school break.) Yes, quite a few more options than Olympia, I'd assume.
Our usual Christmas Chinese place is a restaurant a few towns over called Baumgart's. It used to be an ice cream parlor, but then the owners sold it to people who made it into a Chinese restaurant, but kept the soda fountain, so you can get Chinese food with a root beer float.
Huh. Interesting scene in Bells of St. Mary's. The first-graders are putting on a Christmas play, and it's pretty obvious that the movie director had them pretty much just ad lib the whole thing. (I suppose it's possible that it was scripted, but I really can't imagine getting kids this young to look and sound this natural when they actual knew what they were supposed to say next. Maybe an outline of a script, but that's it.) I wonder exactly how they got this scene, and why they decided to do it that way. It's adorable, in any case.
ND, I'm on AIM if you're around.
Off to bed. Merry War against Christmas to all, and to all a good night.
We're finishing up here at the movie theatre. Tearing down the movies that ended their run tonight. Well, the projectionists are tearing. I'm surfing the internet.
