Huh. Interesting scene in Bells of St. Mary's. The first-graders are putting on a Christmas play, and it's pretty obvious that the movie director had them pretty much just ad lib the whole thing. (I suppose it's possible that it was scripted, but I really can't imagine getting kids this young to look and sound this natural when they actual knew what they were supposed to say next. Maybe an outline of a script, but that's it.) I wonder exactly how they got this scene, and why they decided to do it that way. It's adorable, in any case.

Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
ND, I'm on AIM if you're around.
Off to bed. Merry War against Christmas to all, and to all a good night.
We're finishing up here at the movie theatre. Tearing down the movies that ended their run tonight. Well, the projectionists are tearing. I'm surfing the internet.
Merry Christmas from the Mountain Time Zone!
Olympia is a small town: no Chinese restaurants are open tomorrow in the greater Olympia area, which is why we bought it tonight.
That it is, that it is. Hell, you're lucky if you can find places open on Sundays there (though, granted, it's been a decade since last I lived there, and perhaps it's more civilized now).
Stuff I got for Xmas from GF:
- Navy blue Sauconys with a silver stripe
- Murakami exhibit book (MOCA exhibit we're seeing this week)
- A Dare Wright Lonely Doll book
- A Tale of Two Sisters DVD (loved that movie) >[link]
And my "big gift" is yet to come. Merry Christmas!
Also? I'm missing my niece and nephew like whoa.
GC, you scored some really cool gifts. Well done GC's GF.
Those Dare Wright books are fascinating.
Yeah, I'm totally into Dare Wright. Have you read the bio? Totally fascinating. Also I've had more than my share of vodka and rum tonight.
