Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Tried "DenTemp" brand of temporary dental fillings/crown repair glue putty stuff, but eight attempted applications all fell off within seconds.

Any suggestions on brands that actually work?

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I've used that kind before, e_o. Your break may be such that it's just not holding. The trick, if there is one, is to mix the epoxy stuff then roll it into little balls and pushing them into the gap one at a time. It helps if you do your best to get the area dry.

I feel for you. Teeth have a terrible sense of timing.

Vino advice, please.

I want to buy a bottle of red wine for my father, but I am a wine idiot. I need something low-moderately priced that isn't gross.

Ideas?

Get him a Ravenswood Zinfandel. Depending on the region it can go from $12 - $28 dollars. $10 if you just get the Vinter's Blend which is my standard red table wine.

Is that something my local liqueur or grocery store would have, or is that a trip to BevMo?

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Suzi, do you have a Trader Joe's near you? Their $2 buck chuck options are good. I can't give you a specific vintner, but its a place to go.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Suzi, your local grocery should have Ravenswood. If not, any red zinfandel or shiraz by Cline is a good one. They have a $10-ish zinfandel which is really good.

t edit If you feel like being saucy, get him a bottle of Fat Bastard -- any of their reds (Merlot, Zinfandel, Cabernet) are good, and moderately priced.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Suzi you could probably find Ravenswood at your local grocery store. If you do end up at BevMo they're usually very helpful in picking stuff out.

I not only have a Trader Joe's nearby, but that is where my daughter works. Duh, didn't think of that one.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll brave the stores later today and see what I find. Really, I just need a bottle for the wine bottle cover I made him, but I figure giving an empty bottle wouldn't be nice.

Uh, no offense to o_a or to TJs, but....don't get your dad 2-buck chuck for Christmas. Seriously.
