I remember that, too! My block was the only one in my neighborhood that didn't lose power. As the days dragged by, I felt kinda guilty about it.
I was carless in KC for almost 10 years. I took the bus and walked a lot. this was after 3 years in San Francisco. Much different experience!

Two days ago I got an e-mail from my friend that I'm staying with in St. Thomas. It read, "It broke St. Thomas freezing yesterday--it only reached 68 degrees. See you soon!"
