one that I'm fairly sure has been plagiarized
oh no! How disappointing.
I can has blender! I was griping to Mom about how many Cook's Illustrated test recipes have called for a blender which I do not have (since the asshate broke it) and Mom bought me one for my birthday which isn't until the end of next month!
My mom is the bestest.
So, I know we have a whole other thread for this, but I'm not caught up, and I don't want to get spoiled.
S and I used some her time in the hospital to catch up on S3 of the Office. OMG this show is SO GOOD! It's NOT FAIR to make me root for
Pam and Roy,
and it's really not fair to make me sad that Roy is still Roy, because now I care about him too, dammit. IT'S NOT FAIR!
Okay. Sorry. And we're not caught all the way up on S3. We still have the last disk to watch, so probably six episodes or so? Don't know.
Anyway, if you get me started about this show, I can go on and on and on and on and on, about all the little things that make me love this show so much, so I'll shut up now, before I drive everybody else away. Besides, S and I are hungry, and
dammit,
we're going to go out and have some food at a G D San Francisco restaurant. We've freakin' earned it.
AFAIC you can talk about The Office in here anytime. If you think our version is good you should look up the BBC version. Not better per se but just as many watch-from-the-hall moments and insane belly laughs. Plus, Mackenzie Crook! Ricky Gervais! Martin Freeman!
Oh, way aheda of you, Laga. We started a couple of months ago by watching allmof the UK Office all the way through. I raved about it at the time, and still do. The UK version is the single most beautiful, funny, heartbreaking piece of TV I've ever seen.
Then we started on the US version, which is beautiful in its own right.
There were a bunch of things on my list to do, including scanning some photos. While I was at it I scanned my wedding pictures. [link]
It's about time really. I don't remember who some of the people are.
typos courtesey of the iPhone, and me being starving and wanting to finish a thought and go get food.
somebody needs to watch Eddie Izzard's "Dress to Kill"
Reason #8,036 that I love Sean: he never, ever mis-attributes it as "DressED" to Kill, which it most certainly is not.
We had our work Xmas dinner tonight, and I am beyond full. Nom nom nom. Yummy expensive Italian food. And a (barely) 4-figure bonus check. Woot!
Cute kid bit from a story on a Santa club:
Some members take their role seriously, wearing red socks and Christmas shirts and answering to their holiday names year-round. The club's founder, who listens to Christmas wishes from 17,500 children a year at the Mall of America, flatly refused to give his name, identifying himself only as Santa Sid.
Once, a little boy who knew him as Santa ran into him at work at the Holiday Inn, where he wore a nametag that said "Sid." The kid was unfazed. "Oh, I get it. You're Santa In Disguise!"

Oh, I get it. You're Santa In Disguise
That is so wonderful my allergies are acting up
wow, I guess it really was bad. I thought it was cute.
