Mal: Well, you were right about this being a bad idea. Zoe: Thanks for sayin', sir.

Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Oh, Nora, I am so sorry. I'll definitely be thinking of you and your family in the coming days.

My best to you and your family Nora.

Erin, I hope your folks have heat and power soon.

ION I am now done with jury duty and on the train heading home.

Did you administer justice, or were you dismissed?

Power ~ma to them that needs it.

I was dismissed. Most likely because it was a personal injury case and my dad was a doctor and mom was a nurse. Can't have a juror that might understand medicine.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Or one who might be inclined to side with the doctors.

Cops kids, lawyers kids, etc. I think its pretty common to be dismissed if they think you could have some sort of built in bias.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

YAY dismissed! I'm thrilled that you aren't stuck there all week.

Erin, that sucks royally. I hope that they have somewhere to go if the power doesn't return soon.

They are going to have a hard time on this one. The defendant is Bank of America. At least half the jurors were current or former customers of the bank. One of the potential jurors was the husband of a vice president at the bank. There were three receptionists in law offices and two people with law degrees.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Power~ma to Erin's folks. It looks like a lot of Missouri got slammed. I hate ice storms.

Also, fuck. I was just walking out to the mailbox with the dog and normally he just goes down and back without any trouble. I got involved in trying to extract a package that the mailman had apparently pounded into my mailbox and he nipped at a passerby. The guy first was all "Look, it broke the skin," but he stopped when I brought out the digital camera, because there was no mark at all. Still, that's completely unacceptable dog behavior and I have to figure out the right training for that.

He was looking for work, so I've got him cleaning off the deck. The dog is in his crate. So not what I needed today.
