Okay, I'm going to wait until after my noon client appointment to confront my landlord.
I'm seriously flipping out like a mammal...which is odd for me. I just can't get a handle on why I'm so nervous about this.
He doesn't deserve my anxiety and my surrogate mom asked me last night (once again) to move back in with her and Gordon. I don't want to do that, by any means, but it's a safety net.
But why am I even thinking about safety nets! I don't need one!! The landlord is so...himself...that he won't try to throw me out and, frankly, his jackholery over the years can't get any worse.
Ack. I'm feeling pretty weak.
good luck & calm, powerful negotiating ~ma Beej!
I can hear him saying, "OK, Owibia, take a hold of my hand" as they walk down the stairs.
Awwwww.
The office was being moved by Burnham Movers and the tall office plants had been put in moving boxes. He kept saying, "Look, it's Birnam Wood" and nobody got it.
Dude! That's comedy gold right there! Your poor friend, stuck with such jackanapes.
Good luck, Beej!
Had a great shift last night - it was kind of a tryout, so I hope they ask me back.
OH! Computer and Internet! How I missed you.
Somehow, running a full computer diagnostic was not how I intended on spending my morning. But, I'm so glad it ended up being a simple fix! YAY COMPUTER!
And now I go off and write my papers...or at least get them started...
The nephews are here for a long weekend. I'm trying not to get too excited about it because I haven't gotten in touch with their mother yet and I don't know if she is going to make time to see me.
Yay, pre-school, Emeline!
I can hear him saying, "OK, Owibia, take a hold of my hand" as they walk down the stairs.
SO adorable.
And I love the Birnam Wood joke. Hee!
Yay for Em in pre-school! Such a big girl, I just can't believe it.
Bonny, I hope it all goes well.
I have just finished the last of the 53 first drafts that were turned in Monday and Tuesday. YAY! I am so proud of myself for buckling down and getting them done by my (self-imposed) deadline!
Of course I have some stragglers--five students turned their drafts in late today and will have to be dealt with this weekend--but that's nothing compared to what I've been doing each night.
You rock, Kristin! That's seriously awesome.
Hope you get to see the nephews, sj. I forgot to all my niece yesterday, her birthday. She won't really care, but still.
Good luck with the landlord, Beej.
Whew, three cups of coffee and I can manage more than one thought per post!
I have nothing to say, really, except hello.
Hi, Stephanie. I hope your today is loads better than yesterday.
