Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

home now. Dinner went well. Its been a long time since I cooked, but apparently I'm still pretty good at it. Alas, conversation wasn't what I had hoped for. There was talk over dinner how an office mate was giving her a hard time for me coming over again. & she was responding that just cuz I'm a boy doesn't mean we aren't friends. Not the tone I was hoping for. So if ya heard a kerplunk, that was my hopes falling. BUT, the chicken turned out nice & juicy & yummy. & the garlic bread. Oy vey. Lots of yum. And got another 5" knitted while watching Hollywoodland. Off to sleep now.

My stupid asshole train was forty minutes late this morning. When my half eight train was delayed, they told us to go wait outside (in the pissing rain), as there'd be a replacement bus. So we waited in the rain. The bus did not appear. Then we were told to go wait for the nine o'clock train, which was, again, delayed. Not only did this mean that I was late getting to my station, but it also meant that I missed any chance of a lift once I got there and ended up an hour and twenty minutes later for work than I generally like to be. Nyargh.

End of rant.

How is everyone else's morning?

How is everyone else's morning?

Early. Can't sleep. Trying to decide if it would be worth taking more meds and trying again, since I don't have to be anywhere until 3pm.

Sorry for the shitty morning, though. I hate those. Just sets your day on a difficult path.

Sorry for the shitty morning, though.

Aw, thanks.

If it was me, I'd just lie in bed until I fell asleep, but I like lying in bed almost as much as I like sleeping. Also, I've never taken sleeping meds, so I have no idea how they'd affect the rest of your day. Would you be groggy, as opposed to tired? I suppose thinking about stuff like that would keep me awake more...

I am so unhelpful. Sorry you can't sleep, though.

I can take a small dose that will only help facilitate a couple more hours of sleep, and shouldn't make me too groggy. I only occasionally do it, and only when I don't have to be anywhere before like 2pm.

And you're not not helpful.

In the meantime, I'm re-watching "Slapsgiving," which very well may be one of the funniest 30 minutes of television I've ever seen.

I'm sorry you had trouble with the sleep, vw.

I am up because yesterday, right before I left, I was informed that I had a much larger role than expected in today's 3-hour planning meeting for our ABA site inspection in 2009. I nodded and smiled at the information but didn't do anything to prepare because I still can't believe we're preparing for it this early.

eta: And it's snowing outside - DC commuters will be all in a tizzy.

Now tagless for your comfort.

The insomnia fairy is working overtime. *sigh* Liv cried out at 4 and I got up to check on her and couldn't get back to sleep. She ended up crawling in bed with us at 5 and then I REALLY couldn't get back to sleep so here I am, catching up on emails and posting a listing to sell our old washer and dryer.

Our wings are not tired.

yawn I've been up for an hour or so, as usual, but haven't made it to the shower since it is 53 outside! I shut off the A/C last night and opened the windows so it is very chilly in here. I'm wrapped in a blanket. Woo! I love a brief cold snap. I'll wear a sweater! Well, layers because it will still be near 80 later.

Hope you are getting a bit more rest, vw.

Jars, sounds like it would have been a good day to stay home. Yuckers.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I hope you can get some more sleep, vw.

Jars, sorry about the sucky morning.

Does anyone know how to disarm a car alarm? I can't get the little remote to work. I can't remember if it is set or not, but I'm afraid to find out.
