So did no one else (that grew up with two parents in the house) get separate presents from each parent?
And did Santa leave presents for Mom and/or Dad?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Don't forget that the holiday season is also now your Kilt-iversary!
Oh don't worry. I don't forget that.
This year I'm in Toronto for a bunch of December. It's mainly the handful of days that I go home to San Diego that I have my one great tradition.
megan, my parents did. Left each other gifts, as well as santa gifts. Granted they got fewer gifts than we did, even after we started to buy for them. But I remember leaving them each santa gifts as well.
We didn't cotton on to the stocking thing for my parents until I was at least in 7th grade, maybe 9th. But then my sister and I got our acts together.
Yeah, there were gifts from both parents individually, and from them together, and from family members and things like that.
I got presents from my parents and Santa. The big items were usually from Santa. If I have kids, I'm not doing that. I want them to know that I picked out and paid for those items. Why should Santa get all the credit??
Parents both got presents from Santa (and the Elves Union), but any presents from my parents were from both of them.
I've also received presents from Clovis, Granny Weatherwax, the Hogfather, and the Monster Under the Bed. (No, not during my childhood. I'm talking in the past 10 years or so.)
Jess, I didn't mean to neglect your grandfather in the christmas tradition stuff. I wish him so much get healthier soon ma.
We do presents to and from various animals, elves, others. Just lots of silly fun. Every year we all get a new stash of underwear from Santa. A couple years ago mine were red plush with rhinestones and the boys were very much @@.
Did they get pointy sticks to put their eyes out with?

Oh yes, my Pooh bear (who had a whole fictional life, complete with a special voice) always received a jar of honey. He also had other presents under the tree (otherwise he complained), which were almost always for me and I opened them. I say almost because one year my sister decided to give him stuffing (since he was getting pretty worn and many of his original stuffing-like pellets had come out) but I was sure there was something for me in the box and kept digging through it to find my present.
