You do well to flee, townspeople! I will pillage your lands and dwellings! I will burn your crops and make merry sport with your more attractive daughters! Ha ha ha! Mark my words! Ooh! Ale! I smell delicious ale!

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

Hi Laura!

Good luck with the shoulder, P-C.

Much family-ma for Zenkitty.

I just bit my tongue! It hurts so bad. Hopefully it'll heal up pretty quickly. I have to stop hurting myself! My knee is killing me after my run yesterday, I've got something sticky in my shoulder area so that's a dull ache... My body needs to Step. Off.

I hope the fires calmed down for all the SoCalistas.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Hi, Laura!

Breathing. Breathing is good. Burning cities is not good. Fire relief~ma to all of southern California. And anywhere else there might be wild fires.

Great. I just earwormed myself. At least it wasn't with "Brandy".

All is well that ends in pizza.

Yeah, Brandy used to watch his eyes
When he told his sailor stories
She could feel the ocean fall and rise
She saw its ragin' glory
But he had always told the truth, lord, he was an honest man
And Brandy does her best to understand

What?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

My favorite beer was Tommyknocker Maple Nut Brown Ale. Does that seem right to you?

When we were in New Hampshire, I was bereft that the Seasonal on draft at the Woodstock Inn & Brewery wasn't the maple porter.

OMG THE GRONK! At least everyone in Red Sox Nation is also gronklified so we're all on equal footing. Except for people who went to bed before the rookies blew that game wide open! Game till midnight and then I couldn't calm down and get to sleep for like another hour.

Went to a wedding this weekend (in NH) and it was an irish wedding and the open bar was POUNDED. Apparantly one of the staff, when asked if they'd ever worked an Irish wedding before, responded with fear and disdain, "Not THIS Irish." However, I was pretty moderate in my approach to the open bar and felt great the next morning. I'd say the wedding was 75% fun, and 25% anxiety-making. I wish I had had a room at the inn the wedding was at, because it would have been nice to have some alone time every once in a while.

And, um, that's all I have this morning.

Beth, I'm glad Matt is OK! Zenkitty, I'm really, really sorry about the situation with your mom. We're going through a similar situation with Tom's mom, so I'm totally identifying/projecting right now.

P-C, good luck with the surgery and recovery!

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Laura!

That's scary, Beth. I hope Matt feels okay today.

Surgery~ma, P-C. I hope everything goes well, the shoulder stays fixed and your relatives don't drive you mad.

It's raining! It won't be enough to do anything about our slow-motion disaster, but it's a lovely sound. I hope SoCal gets some rain. I hope everyone who needs rain gets rain. There's no such thing as climate change, right? It's just a coincidence that this is the driest recorded year in North Georgia. It's just a coincidence that the Western forests are on fire and we have 80 days of water left if things don't change.

Dear people who don't believe in global warming:
I have a bridge I'd like to sell you.

Shoulder-fix~ma, PC.

I'm glad to hear Matt was looking better after treatment, beth!

Zenkitty, lots of family~ma to you and yours.

I have a bridge I'd like to sell you.

Does this bridge happen to span a dry riverbed?

DH had to get up at five this morning to watch the game as-live before he went to work. It was that or stay up 'til half four then sleep. I don't know what he's going to do now for the Series.

Y'all should just fly out here and be locals for the duration of the World Series! Yes, I like this plan.

I just finally got around to sending in a rebate for my new cell phone. I thought I had till November. Turns out it was supposed to be postmarked by Oct 9. Whoops. I sent it in anyways. What's a stamp when I could potentially still get my $50.
