I'm so evil and... skanky. And I think I'm kinda gay.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Thanks, vw. I'm a little bit freaked out. Apparently the woman worked at the Fridays and has since died. They're still looking for the man who stabbed her.

I'm getting the pig!

Nah, no suckage Suzi. I was just cleaning out my black hole of a purse and came across the post office slip, which made me think to ask. I'm glad it got there ok.

sj, I'm glad you weren't at the mall today. Very scary.

Yay for food staying down, Sean! Boo for tension-filled classes, vw.

I managed to clean out three more boxes from the guestroom closet. Anyone need a full set of Angel Season One cards? I have no idea why I ever thought I needed some of this stuff.

Trust my rage

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Yikes, sj! That's scary!

Mostly lurking...

It was my tutoring seminar, and my professor kept making sweeping generalizations that because our entire class is white and educated that we've come from privileged backgrounds. One of my good friends, who's history I don't know but seems to be far from that, was almost in tears. I was angry on her behalf, but also on mine. My parents were far from middle class until recently, but also, I've had my share of struggles. And then one of the guys went off about how Black English Vernacular and other "less-approved of" dialects are actually very elitist. And, you know, I wouldn't have had as much of a problem with him expressing his opinion, except that in the elevator he said that he thought the discussion was boring, and he wanted to mix it up a bit. I almost spit at him.

Thrive to spite them

That's just fucked up.

So he was saying these things just to incite the class to --- what? Do something, be upset? Or just amuse him in a Dance Puppets Dance kinda way?

My teacher is frustrating but at least she doesn't pull crap like that.

Yeah. He wanted to rile people up, which just made me so much more angry.

Trust my rage

one of the things I loved about my law school was how hard my professors worked to avoid making gender/race/orientation generalizations.

eta: which is me trying to say that I think educators owe more of a duty than most at avoiding that sort of thing since they are shaping minds and all that.

That's so messed up, vw. Sorry you have to deal with that.
