Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The status is NOT quo.

Another reason to buy soundproofing?

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Eh -- the last time my bedroom saw any action was...geez, almost two years ago.

I guess you could say I've been eating out for a while!

Anyhoo, that's what pillows and music are for, right?!

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Well, either ten minutes, or she came 4 or 5 times.

Go, Sunday afternoon lovin'!

I am intrigued by your ideas and wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

ION, bleh. A close friend of the family - my dad's best friend - died yesterday. My whole family is reeling. I just found out that he was riddled with cancer and was in incredible pain for the last 2 months which makes me even more heartbroken. He was a good man. I am relieved that he is no longer in pain, but angry that he had it, and that IT TOOK HIM.

Will be traveling to the Maryland area this week, looks like.

Also, I'll have a toast with single malt to him tonight. Feel free to join- to Bob.

Happy news. Just sent an email to one of the places that collect plus-size clothes for women entering the workforce.

Just so gratifying on so many levels, you know?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

thank you, beth.

I have been sublimating my grief by cooking. I de-fatted the turkey stock I made yesterday and made a turkey noodle soup with about half of it; put up the other half in the freezer. Since we have already decimated our leftovers, I actually got a bit of turkey thigh meat at the market today. Also, egg noodles, carrot, celery, and onion. Turned out pretty good I think.

I also made mac & cheese from scratch with chorizo. That's in the oven now.

We'll have lots of leftovers for lunches, dinners on the fly, etc. this week.

Called some people and told them about Bob. OK, one person. I will do more tomorrow maybe. Talked to my mom again; we both ended up in tears.

I hate this.

Fuck you, cancer.

Oh, also, Tom's put our annual fruitcake in the oven; I just helped him stir the batter (tradition thing I guess).

Mmm. That will come out and be spritzed with brandy every couple of days until we eat it at Christmas!

That's all that's going on here I guess. Sad and cooking. Followed, of course, by sad and eating.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

Nora, I am so sorry for your family's loss.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Much peace~ma for your dad, and for all of this friend's loved ones, Nora.
