Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired

As long as there is a bar near the hotel in Toronto I might be able to avoid climbing a clock tower with a bolt action rifle.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Just *finally* talked to Nephlet. He's tired, woozy and in pain and it was still wonderful to hear his voice.

His leg (three breaks) is in a full cast for at least six weeks. The rest is just road rash on his face, side and hands. His helmet saved not only his brain, but likely his life.

Thank you for your prayers, thoughts and ~ma. I just want to be able to give him a hug but talking to him was the verbal equivalent today.

Congratulations on having a home -t!

Calm ma ~~ Stephward.

BOOK: "River..? Please, why don't you come on out..." RIVER: "No. Can't. Too much hair." - 'Jaynestown'

Now, now, ND, don't go shooting the Canadians. It's not (entirely) their fault.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Aw, poor little guy, Cass. What a shitty thing to happen in winter. I'm glad he'll be ok.

Mostly lurking...

Oh, Cass. I'm so glad you got to talk to him! Take care, all of you.

I just got my last paper proposal written, and now I'm plopping down to start working on a fairly tedious part of the actual paper. I'm gonna do it while watching Fried Green Tomatoes. That should make me good and cry.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

As long as there is a bar near the hotel in Toronto I might be able to avoid climbing a clock tower with a bolt action rifle.

Now now now... if you're going to start shooting from a tower in Toronto think big and go for CN. Its a tower AND it has a bar -- no need to decide. I'm pretty sure you could get a riffle past the puffy things they have in security.

HORRAY FOR THE NEPHLET!!!!!!!!!

Aunt Cass is going to think any scar from the road rash is "cool", isn't she?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I will certainly tell him that the scars are cool if it helps him stay in decent spirits while laid up for the next six weeks. Then we can compare later. I suspect he'll win. I've only got knees and elbows from bike wrecks.

I am ... just so relieved to have talked to him.

I buy my rope from one of her poly partners (Twisted Monk). I've read her blog, too, and it *almost* makes me want to be a pro-domme.

He's being Mister Santa on Friday night!! You see why I'm intimidated? Also, Saturday night is the big kinky winter dance, so I'm like "damnit, I want to go to that!" OTOH, way to meet tons of people, being Ms. Santa?

And yet, I have to move in 6 days. (Cue hysterical laughter.)

Good luck, Teppy!!

Two of my favorites from when Ellie was a baby were Paul Simon's "Born at the Right Time"

Oh, I love that song.
