Kaylee: So how many fell madly in love with you and wanted to take you away from all this? Inara: Just the one. I think I'm slipping.

'Serenity'

Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Parents, I need your help. What are some great songs I should include on a "Parenting" mix for my brother and SIL?

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Brain, from all scans, is uninjured.

This is where I could actually breathe while reading your post. Healing~ma to the nephlet, Cass.

Yay, Fay for successful show.

Yay meara, for being a hot, hot meara!

Boo, hiss sick people on vw's plane!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

VW, are you looking for songs for the parents or the kids? For the parents, "I Me Mine" (Beatles) and "Mother's Little Helper" (Stones). For the kids, there are good recs on fidsandkamily.com. (google "fids and kamily" if I have that URL wrong)

I'm looking more for parents. I've got a couple CDs I'm sending for Cooper.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

(((Cass))) Bone healing-ma to your nephew and calm-ma for you. I'm glad that his brain was protected by the helmet.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I hab a code. Last night I'd hoped my sinuses were just messed up from the flight and the difference in weather where I started and ended the day, but no, this is definitely a cold. I also have a mile-long to-do list. I don't like this combination.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Oh, Cass! How scary. I'm sorry.

I still feel vaguely stomach achey. Hopefully not pukey though.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Cass, keep us updated on the nephlet, please. Poor noodle! And poor you!

The other night Ms Santa will be Mistress Matisse, a well-known professional domme, who has a weekly column in the local alternative paper and a blog I've been reading for about a year.

I buy my rope from one of her poly partners (Twisted Monk). I've read her blog, too, and it *almost* makes me want to be a pro-domme.

I was like "....are you kidding me?!? I can't even compare!"

Pfft. You are SO wrong. I think she's taller than you (unless she's wearing heels in her pictures), but -- no. You have an EXCESS of smoking hotness, chickie.

ION, I didn't puke at any time during or after Thanksgiving festivities, nor did any of my family. Now I feel like I'm in the minority.

Moving Countdown: t minus 6 days. Holy crap, it will NEVER get done. NEVER. I bought this bathroom cabinet and put it together (with 2 people helping) last night: [link] It should take care of the lack of a linen closet. (At least, for *my* toiletries and sundries....)

Most of the carpet is up, and the cat boxes have been moved to the basement and the cats have been bribed with catnip. The Boy's furniture that can be tossed out of the curb has been tossed out (all except one behemoth), and chaos still reigns.

And yet, I have to move in 6 days. (Cue hysterical laughter.)

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

Cass, how very scary! I'm glad the noggin is fine. Much bone and trauma~ma to nephlet.

Wow, lot of moving going on! Safe and Sane moving~ma, Steph!

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Cass, how scary!! I'm glad things are not any worse.

And my makeup was sort of Evil Domme Geisha, which was great fun, and went well with the Deep Booming Voice Of Command and general air of Do Not Fuck With Me.

I really don't like A Christmas Carol, but I would have paid good money to see this. That's sounds wonderful!!

Teppy, all kinds of moving~ma. Moving can be extremely stressful all on its own and when a Major Life Change (like moving in with a Boy!) comes along with it, the stress increases exponentially. Be sure to take some time out for you and to take care of yourself.
