[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Along with a coupon for a dollar off a bag I could have used A HALF AN HOUR AGO. *sigh*

That's annoying. Every time I buy a big thing of paper towels at Target the give me a coupon for them, and by the time I need them again the coupon has expired or I have lost it.

Ok. How horrible is it for me to cancel my plans tonight for this reason: I'm finally getting things done, and I don't want to stop?

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

So, this morning I got up and ran 2 miles. I managed to average about 12 minutes per mile, and I ran more than I walked, unlike the last 2 times. The downside? I am SORE at the moment. Need to schedule some bodywork.

Tomorrow I am doing my long run, 3 miles, and I'm certain I won't be doing 12 minute miles. But I am very very proud of myself today.

Also, I may have met a boy. Well, I met a boy, and maybe we'll have Coffee. I think this is funny, since I made meeting a boy this year my birthday wish.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Congrats on new nephewtude, vw! And also, vw, I have cancelled plans for exactly that reason. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do.

Love the tattoo, SA!

Yay meeting a boy, d!

Hello, everyone.

I did end up canceling. I feel badly, but I may actually get my laundry done. And that would be a nice thing since I leave for SF at ass o'clock Wednesday morning. And my apartment needs to be in a decent enough state that I can give Upstairs!Neighbor a key to get in and turn on the heat if she needs to. And, and, and...well, you get the drift.

Go d with the great run!

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

beth, was it you that postulated there may have been some survival benefits to AD/HD traits in ages past, and it's modern life that makes those traits get in the way?

yup. and your story is one of the ways . I think also in a more primitive time - someone that got distracted by things might see danger before I do.

Congrates, to the vw family. new family members can be fun. and staying home is a good thing esp. when you are getting things done

nice tat and nice job , sa. I'd call it a good week.

and I wish you more good running d.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I gardened this morning. Fear me.

For those who don't know - I have a black thumb. I'm normally not allowed near growing things.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I just got back from volunteering at the Decatur Beer Festival. My thoughts:

OMG, people want t-shirts. When I close my eyes I'm taking a twenty from someone and giving them back a five. The other volunteer and I sold something like 150 t-shirts in three hours.

I still have a red hospital bracelet on that says "Over 21."

My favorite beer was Tommyknocker Maple Nut Brown Ale. Does that seem right to you?

Thrive to spite them

I'm back from the football game. We had to leave early because they are cracking down on parking on campus* and Dad didn't leave early enough so we parked some place skeevy and he didn't want to walk back in the dark.

He's got passes to go and park at (actually near) the Civic Center and take the bus over, but even then you have to get there way way early just to get a decent parking. We got back to my house in time to see yet another fumble that lead to us losing the game.

But hockey! maybe Tampa can win.

Best.Reference.Ever!

And that does sound like a drink worth tasting.
