Thank you for all your thoughts and ~ma and hugs. I shared them with Mom.
Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Yep, everything went well. We made a few adjustments, but nothing Tom and I couldn't handle.
yay for having smart employees that can program!!
Laga, Arabia (pronunced a-RAH-bee-ah) is a well-known Finnish porcelain/dishes company. I think Atelje just means atelier (workshop) in Finnish.
Emily, ack! Are they clearly visible? If so, paper towels and the quick swoop attack are your friends.
But they are seriously large beasties. Actually, it's not so much the large as the sort of solidity of them. Like, if a daddy longlegs is drawn by a very very fine pencil point, these are like thick grease-pencil spiders. And I kind of respect them -- they're not skittering around rapidly, making me jump back and scream, they're just sitting there waiting for me to leave.
And, okay, I'm too afraid to get near them. Of what am I afraid? I DON'T KNOW. It is a deep and unreasoning fear.
Are they close enough together that you could drop something like a big bowl over both of them? Then you could slide a magazine under the bowl and carry the whole thing outside.

Honestly, ND did most of the adjustments... I just tossed a compressor on one mic for one short bit. But thanks, nonetheless.
Thanks to all of you, my turkey stew is happily stewing. I bought a fresh loaf of French bread, so dinner tonight will be turkey soup with dipping bread. Yum! I hope.
ETA: This lolcat keeps making me giggle. How many of us relate to this kitten? I know I do!
ooh that sounds delicious. Are you going to put barley in the stew?
Are you going to put barley in the stew?I don't have any barley. I have a little orzo and some brown rice, though. Maybe I should add one of those? Do I need to cook them first? Verily, my stew-making skills are limited.
