Thank you!
I haven't added the turkey yet, but I've chopped up celery, onion, garlic, and carrots and then added fresh sage and rosemary to vegetable stock and leftover gravy. It's simmering away until I have time to run to the store to get more vegetable stock; this is going to be a big pot o' stew.
yeah what those guys said. You definitely want the bones to simmer in the pot because it gives the good flavor.
My new mug. Let me show you it. The moment Mom saw me on Thursday she rushed away, then rushed back and shoved this into my hands. She said she just couldn't wait 'till Christmas to see the look on my face. I love it but I also wonder if it's more than just spooky fun art. Does it mean something? On the bottom it says Atelje with an accent aigu over the e, under that there's a stylized crown, under that ARABIA and below that, in smaller asscaps, FINLAND.
don't wanna get out of bed. iPhone is enabling this behavior. Wait wait is on the radio. And i am reflecting on my evening at CuteGraphicsGirl party. Trying to not over analyze them. Like, she taught me an easier method of knitting (English method?) that allowed for one stick to stay put. When I asked about casting on, she gave a cute look & said "oh that's something entirely different". Then her cat curled up on my lap. I thought this was a normal fair. She looks & says "wow, usaully he just walks back & forth getting pet from everyone. He never camps on Someones lap." Good signs?
Sorry I abandoned you ND, but thanks for letting me go. I guess it went well.
Yes, I think the movie was "Moving Violations".
Thank you for all your thoughts and ~ma and hugs. I shared them with Mom.
Yep, everything went well. We made a few adjustments, but nothing Tom and I couldn't handle.
yay for having smart employees that can program!!
Laga, Arabia (pronunced a-RAH-bee-ah) is a well-known Finnish porcelain/dishes company. I think Atelje just means atelier (workshop) in Finnish.
Emily, ack! Are they clearly visible? If so, paper towels and the quick swoop attack are your friends.
But they are seriously large beasties. Actually, it's not so much the large as the sort of solidity of them. Like, if a daddy longlegs is drawn by a very very fine pencil point, these are like thick grease-pencil spiders. And I kind of respect them -- they're not skittering around rapidly, making me jump back and scream, they're just sitting there waiting for me to leave.
And, okay, I'm too afraid to get near them. Of what am I afraid? I DON'T KNOW. It is a deep and unreasoning fear.
Are they close enough together that you could drop something like a big bowl over both of them? Then you could slide a magazine under the bowl and carry the whole thing outside.
