I get confused. I remember everything. I remember too much, and... some of it's made up, and... some of it can't be quantified, and... there's secrets.

Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Heh. NSM.

I ended up walking into about four stores. One (JCrew) I bought stuff at. One I wanted to buy shoes at, but decided they weren't worth standing in teh line. One I liked things at, but they still weren't cheap. Several, I didn't even go into.

It was well below freezing outside, and there was a line an entire block long just to GET INTO the Coach store. And I'm pretty sure they weren't giving away free bags, y'know? Just insane.

And that's not even TOUCHING on the insanity that was the parking. And where people decided to go ahead and park...

I think if you were really smart, you would have waited until about 4 or 5AM to show up. All the deals (several places had midnight to 6AM or 10AM or whatever deals with an extra 10% off or whatever) would still be going on, but a lot more people would've finished/given up. Like me!

Now tagless for your comfort.

Have fun shopping, them that are braving the hordes.

Since my MiL had to leave last night, we didn't have to go out shopping. But my sister called me at 7 a.m. to tell me what a smoking deal she got on a 42 in flat planel LCD HD TV and a surround sound system for her husband.

The kids and I are having Pillsbury cinnamon rolls and rolling around on the floor in front of the tv.

Oh Lord I have done nothing today. Nothing. One and a half hours until I can go home. MOVE FASTER, TIME.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm feeling a bit better this morning. Just had a slice of pumpkin pie.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Wow, I completely forgot it was Black Friday. Maybe I'll do some online shopping...

Grampa is doing the same, meaning not better, meaning they're going to operate toda. The surgeon is the same guy who took my appendix out (about 10 years ago) while I was home for my sister's high school graduation, which I think makes him out official Remover Of Unnecessary Organs for Family Members Who Don't Even Live Here.

Cashmere, ~ma for your Grandma.

In completely frivolous news, Dylan did not make the Gap Casting Call finalists, but there is another kid named Dylan in the same category (baby boys 0-4) who looks surprisingly like him. I guess there was only room for one!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Sometimes I think the best part of Thanksgiving is having pie for breakfast the next few days.

I don't think we're going to do any shopping today. We did our Christmas presents to and from DH's side of the family last night, so we'll need to figure out what we can pack and what we can ship. And, you know, persuade Annabel that her new Backyardigans play-doh pirate ship is not an appropriate item for her carry-on bag. I did get a duplicate book, so I might try to trade it in at the Borders near MIL's house rather than ship it back, because it's a hardcover I'm planning to convert into 3-4 paperbacks, which would be lighter and easier to pack.
