Happy Birthday Jilli!
I went out with some friends for my birthday dinner tonight. Vegetarian Indian place in Georgetown. Really good. I love vegetarian restaurants because I get to try all kinds of new things -- like, tonight I just got the platter that claimed to have three North Indian curries, plus a bunch of other stuff. Didn't have to go through the whole interrogation of the waiter to find out what was in each thing, and I'm still not possitive what one of them was, but it was all really good. (This is the same reason why I vastly prefer vegetarian Dim Sum places to omnivorous Dim Sum places that happen to have a bunch of vegetarian stuff -- it's not really the same experience if you can't just point at stuff and say "I'll have ... whatever that is.")
Also, my friends got me Veganomicon, a new vegan cookbook that I've been wanting. Very cool.
I'm trying to decide if Jilli would really like these, or they appeal to me because they're called Jillian

The problem with being bored and at home on a saturday night? Online shopping. I just bought a leather underbust corset. [edit: Ooh, yes, I shall blame that on shopping in honor of Jilli. Who will most certainly approve of the corset]
I think Jilli wouldn't wear those shoes, because of the heel height, Vortex. But I like the toe.

Yay being able to eat freely. I like the pointing experiment with food.
I know I am running a little bit late, but Happy Birthday Jilli!
Hello folks. Quick update...
- K-Bug is still in Boston. I miss my girl.
- Mom's surgery went well, even though it was delayed over 8 hours.
- DH and CJ survived two days without any of the women in the house.
- So darned tired.
OK, I just checked the forecast for Tulsa, where we're going for the week.
The high on Tuesday is supposed to be 80. Then 47 on Wednesday.
So, by my Pacific Northwest-adjusted standards, that's going from July, and a tad on the warm side even for then, to typical January in a 24-hour period.
Glad I checked before I started packing. It wouldn't have even occurred to me to bring shorts in November.
I am watching the beginnings of a knitting circle. Erin_O & I are over with KT. Those two are figuring out how to cast on. See, I always thought casting was a fishing thing. Shows what I know.
I've got Mr. Miyagi saying "cast on; cast off" in my head now.
