Except that I would say the same thing. I agree the student was rude and that you should let the prof know in case there is some participation grade, but I tend to be pretty laissez faire about college students' academic choices. If she's arrogant enough to think she can skip the recitation and still do well, so be it.
I finished ALL of the in-class essays last night! I'm very proud of myself. Now I need to copy all of them for my files, stick the originals with progress report in the student mailboxes, and prep/copy for the day.

I've been doing these IV iron treatments to deal with my anemia cause my Ferritin levels have been way low. It has been interesting watching it climb week by week. Well, in the last week - since I noted it was "fantastic", the level doubled and now I'm in the high range. WTF. Body chemistry is weird.
So, no more iron for a while. Yay. Odd, but yay!
I told Joe Monstro was lonely and cold with no books to keep him warm. All Monstro needs is a fresh coat of paint and he can live in the dining room and be warm and loved and surrounded with books.

The former worldwide creative director of Nickelodeon not only traced her own growing-out process (painful), but she also she conducted surveys, hung out in bars, spoke with image consultants, and interviewed tons of women to try and find out exactly why we submit to this, what we're actually trying to get, and how much we're fooling ourselves. Kreamer's sleuthing was fascinating - the information she came up with both disturbing and hopeful - so I called the author to find out more.
