Trust my rage

Last night, Joe woke up in pain that actually brought tears. After trying a few things, he got up and slept downstairs. I was a little pissed at him because he was supposed to be on Ellie-watch (although she actually went back to sleep very easily).

This morning, he went to the clinic. They did an EKG and said they think he had a heart attack. First of all, he's 39 years old and in great shape! Second, am I the biggest ass of a wife or what? I'm so thankful I didn't share my irritation with him.

I thought it was perhaps a panic attack, because those can feel llike heart attacks, I think, and he was very anxious about being in charge of Ellie, but panic attacks don't show up on an EKG, do they?

He's going to the hospital now and says he will let me know what they say.

panic attacks don't show up on an EKG, do they?

The only change that would show up on an EKG if he had a panic attack would be a change in heart rate.

eta: And he'd have to be hooked up while having the panic attack, I would think.

Thanks, everyone.

The only change that would show up on an EKG if he had a panic attack would be a change in heart rate.

When my brother had his panic attacks, they did not show up on the EKG later, so that sounds right to me.
