see, I told you it was funnier in my head
Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
lol
Dennis is going to Hawaii tomorrow. bastard. I'm playing this over and over again while he talks to his mom on the phone. Well... I think it's funny.
I've noticed (and participated in) the practice of marking posts as serial. I've always looked at it as a sort of apology, for taking up board space with more than one post in a row. I'm wondering now, if nobody else is posting, and the post has decent content, if there is anything to apologize for. (other than serial commas, unneccesarry parentheses, poor spelling, misuse of colons and run-on sentences) Is it just an acknowledgement? A sort of: yeah I know I'm having a conversation with myself.
wow, that grows on you... like mold.
i'm here too Laga. Reading Wired, and looking up every 10 minutes or so to see if a post has hit. IM me if you want a conversation (since you don't appear on for me to ping you).
Phew. Two and a half hours after I'd finished writing the last comment, I have proofread them, cut/pasted them into the e-gradebook (and had to redo the formatting on each one--total PITA), posted my grades as "ready," and printed out progress reports to stick in kids' mailboxes tomorrow.
I am now going to go to bed and try to get at least five hours of sleep before I begin the regular work week. Whee. Having to go to work again after working 25 hours in the last three days just seems wrong.
Thanks for all the moral support through the process, everyone. I know it may seem ridiculous or whiny, but the comment-writing three day ritual is really draining for me, and having a place to poke my head in and vent from time to time helps me to stay sane.
Night.
OK the funny thing is that I totally forgot to post what I'd come in to serial post.
Quite possibly the funniest xkcd of all time.
yay KT for finishing! Your students are very lucky to have a teacher that cares enough to do the level you do! Bummer it ate your whole weekend tho. Sleep tight!
Sweet dreams Kristin.
