You never know if a girl's gonna say 'yes', or if she's gonna laugh in your face and pull out your still-beating heart and crush it into the ground with her heel.

Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Trust my rage

Are you two in the same house? That's too funny.

ION, a guy I work with made a carrot cake and brought it in today. It is *so good*!

Argh. I'm worried. Greg's been having heart palpitations. Gonna bring him to the ER tonight when he gets home from work. I can't concentrate to do any work. Argh.

Mostly lurking...

Are you two in the same house?

Yes, we are (or were), but I'm all the way upstairs, and she's all the way downstairs, so it's easier to communicate via the board.

Oh, Jars, that's scary! Much ~ma headed your way.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

This pumpkin butter recipe looks the best of the ones I have looked at. Most seem to call for all white sugar, this one calls for dark brown sugar. Of course that puts the nix on an easy conversion to the use of sugar substitutes, but c'est la vie. [link] Another point in its favor is its accuracy on canning directions: which is to say, it says don't do it, recommends storing in fridge or freezer instead. This matches the official government home canning safety standards thingy, as pumpkin is too variable, and generally not acidic enough, nor is there enough sugar added to prevent bacterial growth.

Jars, much ~ma to Greg and you.

Daniel and I sometimes IM each other from the next room. Our desks are not line-of-sight from each other, but near enough that sometimes I can hear Harvey purring from Daniel's shoulder over here. This does take care of my concern that we had spent so many years keeping company online that we might not be able to effectively communicate by, you know, actual talking.

Andi, I'll bet you could get a good approximation by using your sugar substitutes with a small amount of molasses.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Heart ~ma to Greg, Jars.

I've been zombified all week. Haven't gotten shit done. I'm just wandering around and staring. I've informed my boss that I'm zombified and she's getting a part-timer to do some of my work for me. (No, really. My boss is insane, but she likes me.)

Oh, now I want pumpkin butter made with brown sugar. I've never even had pumpkin butter before.
