All right, no one's killing folk today, on account of our very tight schedule.

Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

I'd be the ill-informed dork who showed up at the 7 Deadly Sins party as...Dopey. Or Doc.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Woo Gris with the chemistry!

Suzi, CJ is a good person, but he behaved badly. You do know that he can dig in his heels and get stubborn, and he can also just travel down his own little wacky behavior path sometimes to it's (il)logical conclusion.

I think sometimes CJ has a hard time seeing his behavior as other people will see it.

Emmett also gets very stuck on "fair" and I always try to turn the conversation away from that and back to "this is what you did, and here's why that's not okay." Even so I do try to be...uh, fair and realize that that word is a kind of flag that indicates he feels wronged in some way which is driving his behavior.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

This is different from your regular life how?? :)

Um, sometimes I get my own drink?

Actually, I think meara THREW that party! Well, not sure if that was the one, but I have thrown a seven deadly sins party. I came in a shirt that said "Wicked" and leather pants, and was the hostess, Evil.

maybe? It was in a house at the bottom of a hill, and a bunch of the girls ended up making out with what'shisname's brother (the straight brother of one of the gay boys who said that he always liked hanging out with his brothers friends because there was always a straight girl or two around that he could hook up with)

Now the kitten has curled up on top of the student files and is giving me the "I'm Way Too Cute To Be Removed Forcefully" look.
And you wonder why the big boss was hesitant to let folks work from home? :: ducks ::

ION, apparently the "Bad Monday for Bitches even tho is Thursday" which I thought had bypassed me, hadn't. Sigh. While walking home from garage, I did a big gravity check. Face plant into the sidewalk. I think the thin layer of ash cushioned the fall. Alas, face has some minor road rashes above & below the eye, and under the nose. Good news (yes, I do try to find good in all things) 1- so far, no concussion, miracle as I did see stars; 2- my new pants did *not* get shredded. The burning in my knees wasn't road rash as I feared, just "rope burn" for lack of a better phrase. They are as advertised, 100% Ripstop cotton. Cool!

Question for the medic types in the house. Something new to me in the land of scrapes. [white font for squeamish, no need to read] While the scrapes did produce the normal capillary blood loss, this time there was clear leakage from face. I've never had that before from a scrape. Um. Plasma? Sweat gland? Dunno. It's not puss. It's very much clear and thin. I don't think it's a bad thing, just something that's never happened to me before.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Oh! Oh! I forgot to share something funny!

So ND and I went out for Chinese a couple of weeks ago. We go to this great little place down the street--best wonton soup ever. Anyway, at the end of the meal, we get our fortune cookies. Mine has some vague fortune, as per usual. ND's says, "Perhaps you've been focusing too much on yourself." I laugh at him. A lot.

Flash forward a week. We're listening to Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me on NPR, and get to the "Bluff the Listener" segment. If you aren't familiar with the show, this is the part where the panel tells three unbelievable stories and the listener has to try to guess which one is true. The true story? Is about how there was a limited run of depressing fortune cookies in the country with bummer fortunes like "Perhaps you've been focusing too much on yourself." It is exactly ND's luck that he would get one of those fortunes. I find this all terribly amusing.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Omnis, that's normal. It's serous fluid and it's full of white blood cells. It should dry up and get scabby soon.

x-post: Sorry to hear about the fall, Omnis. Hope you heal quickly.

Cash, thanks for the confirmation. I suspected it was benign in nature, but, ya never know.

KT, thanks. All in all, it wasn't a bad fall. Just haven't done it in awhile, especially one where red stuff escaped. It's just sucky that the face has to get road rashed as I'm trying to woo cute new gal in graphics. The under nose looks like a lil faint scrape. Under eye will probably be more of a minor shiner than anything. the over eye is the big scrape. The band-aid is right on the eyebrow. Must. Pull. Slowly. to avoid strange new look.

Heh. Yeah, I made out with him. We were doing tequila shots in the kitchen. :)
