Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

am I the only one who does their best to avoid caffeine?
:: ducks:: OK, lots of catch up since I got top 15!

The monkey suit has arrived!
OMG that is the cute! That is beyond the cute. Save that pic! BLACKMAIL!!!!

The cats are frustratingly not behaving like real pins would (and there's no power control on the throw, and no gravity), so the normal sweet spot isn't there.
you did read the instructions, no? If you want real bowling, lets go! LA F2F? Ha, as if we could sync all our schedules.

Omnis, GO YOU with the paid off car! Man, I wish I had half your financial discipline.
Thanks :) and don't push yourself down. Your a LOT better than you think. Your doing better in some areas than most Americans! You just got smacked with lots of curve balls past few years. But you hit a couple out of the park already! Your doing good!

AND...

Guess what? I just landed a weekly tutoring gig! I am SO relieved. That extra money is going to make tackling the debt a lot easier.
This will help! Yipee! Congrats! That's the AWESOME!

Red Bull tastes like liquid Nerds
um. I really hope you mean the candy.

I had a phone interview this morning and a in person interview will probably happen on Friday.
GO LEE! That's great!

In case I forgot to say it earlier, Happy (belated) b-day D!

LA F2F?

This is actually a reference to the second annual Buffista F2F which happened in Los Angeles.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

nods

There's photographic evidence of the bowling...er...somewhere.

I loved JZ's bowling outfit the very most, I think. Although there was a lot to love about the various ensembles - I seem to remember Joe and, er, Sean? And ND? getting crowns and/or jester hats to complement all the tiaras. And SA had a bowler hat, which was singularly appropriate.

I still have my crown, and yes, we got Sean a Jester cap. They were purchased at Hollywood Toy and Costume on our way to Frederick's of Hollywood.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Now I understand why my mom made fish sticks and tator tots so often.

Amen, sister.

I missed a fun party.

Yes. Yes, you did.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Coffee at work is free. Coffee at home is good. I start with good, and finish up with free. I love the taste, but need the effect more than the flavor.

I am Plei. At least, regarding coffee. I don't think I have a Squeak hiding around here anywhere. And *no one* has those gorgeous/slightly creepy/hypnotic eyes.

Soda water tastes like water with bubbles, pretty much.

Fizzy water! I'm addicted. It makes it much easier for me to get adequately hydrated every day, because flat water doesn't make me want to drink it (except during exercise -- anything fizzy during exercise is not a good thing for me; dunno why).

Trust my rage

Steph and I are the same wrt water. Regular water is just so boring - unless I'm sweating. But my midwife told me I need to drink more water (not surprising - I hate drinking water and then peeing all the time) so I'm trying to force myself to drink more liquids.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

You did! But, gosh, it was a while ago now - what, four years ago? Five? I was still living in England at the time, whereas for the SF2F I flew out from Cairo - man, that was a fun time too.

...er, where and when's the next F2F, then? Not that I'm likely to be free, because it's not usually in the holidays, is it? But still...good times. Good times.

Meanwhile - soda does indeed taste like water with bubbles. It IS the pause that refreshes, whereas Coke is pretty much the pause that makes you thirsty (if you're me). Since one is generally used to associating bubbles with intense sweetness, soda can be a bit of a shock to the system - certainly I hated it the first time I had it, because my mum told me it was like lemonade, and so I was expecting sweetness. No sweetness.

Soda water - it's water, but sexier! In fact I'm lying here drinking Singha brand soda water from a large Andy Warhol-style Stitch mug RIGHT NOW, and it's fucking great! (But I don't have a rubber glove on my head.)
