Damn it! You know what? I'm sick of this crap. I'm sick of being the guy who eats insects and gets the funny syphilis. As of this moment, it's over. I'm finished being everybody's butt monkey!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Not just East Bay. That was loooooong.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Bless you.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It didn't want to stop. Which is a bad sign because the '89 quake kind of went, died off and then went WHAMO. Yeesh.

Uh, don't anything fall down?

I think it is super cool that these days I can hear about a quake as it happens, and then have people link me to scientific pages about it moments later. Awesome!

meara, you are now in a town that also gets earthquakes! Whee!

5.6 is pretty sporty. Fun.

Really long, although never hard enough to trigger the "jump under the desk" reflexes.

Coincidently enough, I was delivered my personal 3-day emergency supply pack this afternoon, since I'm now officially on the A team for the Emergency Operations Center.

I guess I should get home soon. There better not be a huge one while I'm on the bridge. Maybe I'll take my emergency pack with me just in case the approach ramps go out if a big one hits. The bridge isn't supposed to fall down, just the approaches go wonky. My bridge. BB people are out. of. luck.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Wait, the quake knocked your clothes back on? That is a big one.

No bad effects~ma to all.
