You know those stupid shampoo commercials where the woman ends up in a neck brace from flinging her hair around? Well, this morning as I was drying my hair, I went to flip it and CRUNCH. Not in a neck brace or anything but OW. That was unexpected.
PHC opened with a reading of The Raven. That makes me happy.

Art Crawl!!!
I have had a lazy day - despite waking up at 6:30 in the morning. It's Breeder's Cup weekend and I watched the rest of my tape of yesterday's races and then some other tv and then horseracing all day. It was mostly good with one real downer at the very end. I have to say that the rottenness of the weather yesterday was amazing. You could barely even see the horses on the race track and I marvel anew at the racetrack announcer (in this case, Trevor Denman)'s ability to call the races at all. Luckily today it was much better - visibility at least but still so mucky that the horses were already muddy by the time they loaded them into the starting gate.
