Morning!

Er, yeah. Teacher work day. Trying to rev up for my morning meeting. And then a full day of grading and cleaning and planning. Woo... hoo!

Trust my rage

I skipped a bunch to say that the videos of Noah were adorable. It was fun to hear him making sounds and cooing. My friend had that activity center when her baby was little and Ellie was always fascinated by the star.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Somebody should now come up with the canonical rhyme-words about shoes.

Fat spats?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Hairless cats often wear sweaters in winter. But a sweater on a cat with plenty for fur just looks odd....

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My god, that opinion piece is depressing. She has the most similar-to-me migraine history I've read. Ah, well. Company.

I'm not sure why you'd roast tamarind.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Happy St. Crispin's Day.

Casey: Gee, Dan, that night in Minneapolis with the Jagermeister, we didn't do anything untoward, did we?
Dan: You recited the St Crispin's Day speech in the lobby of the St. Paul Radisson.
Casey: Well, was it untoward?
Dan: No, it was just embarrassing.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Sigh.

I miss Casey and Dan.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm not sure why you'd roast tamarind.

Yeah, it probably wasn't roasted. But he did some kind of prep thing to it beyond just cutting it up.

We might need a doggie sweater for our new dog Fenris. He doesn't seem to do well with the cold like our old dog Thor. They spend a lot of time indoors, but they'll have to go outside a little bit.

Way back with another set of dogs, we tried a dog sweater on one of them but it didn't work. It made him look like a doggie nerd and the other dog keep pulling it off of him.

I've started watching the new Battlestar Galatica, starting with the 3rd season. I like the show and discovered that it was a TWOP show. I went there for a little recapping snark and discovered the recapper was Jacob, the guy who sucked all the snark out of Doctor Who. He's following me like some horrible angel of pretension sucking all the snark out of my TV.
