I've got two words that are going to make all the pain go away. Miniature Golf.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Man, I wish I'd thought of that!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Man, I wish I'd thought of that!

This is just one of the reasons Sparkys are good to have around.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Happy Birthday, Earth!

Earth is 6010 years old today! [link] Yep, Earth was created Oct 23, 4004 BC. And the following Nov. 10, humans were driven from paradise. Also,

the ark touched down on Mt Ararat on 5 May 2348 BC `on a Wednesday'.

Librarian Warlord

Man, I wish I'd thought of that!

If you had, I might have begged you to film his arrival . . . and subsequent run for the hills.

It would have made me laugh.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

It's not supposed to be 90 degrees at the end of October, dammit.

I hate to break it to you, but that's not uncommon in LA. My mom often reminded me that the day she brought me home from the hospital it was the middle of a blistering heat wave, probably over 100.

I have two napping kids, just woke up from one myself. Mmmm. That makes for a good day, heat wave or no. But I'm very stressed out about the fires in San Diego. One friend lives in the middle of the burn zone, and though I know she and her family are fine, I fear for their home. And my cousin lives just outside the mandatory evacuation zone, I have no idea if they've left their place yet or not.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Gotta love that dog poster.

Apparently it was something like 97 fucking degrees on Saturday in Phoenix. I'm getting married this week next year!

In not-that-bright questions, you getting married in Phoenix? Daytime wedding?

I'm still wondering about my 5pm wedding in a couple weeks. I guess I get to wear a long slightly showy dress.

Phoenix, daytime wedding/evening reception. I gotta stop procrastinating on figuring out how to control the weather!

brillig

I'm still wondering about *my* 5pm wedding next week

emphasis added, because I was thinking "Dammit, ita, that's taking laconic modesty a little too far!"
