Our Trader Joes has sanitizing wipes available. I'd use them if it didn't create more landfill-filler. But after grocery shopping (and after getting on and off the Metro, etc.) I do try to wash my hands.
I don't think of myself as germ phobic, but now I probably seem like I am to all of you. Eh.

No, I'm honestly curious. I saw this woman at the Kroger doing it yesterday, which means she had to bring her own handwipes.
Some of you have heard me argue against the use of two spaces between sentences, and endured my grousing about "old typewriter habits" and my mumblings of the words "mono-spacing" and "proportional."
I used to use two spaces between sentences. I don't remember when exactly, but it was a significant decision for me when I decided to stop doing that.
Safeway now has a thing of wipes mounted by the doors.

Nah -- I'm a huge fan of handwashing, but not antibiotic wipes. I believe what I've heard that they work well enough to help the bacteria evolve stronger but not well enough to eliminate them.
Also, I can't stop putting two spaces after a period. I didn't even learn to type on a typewriter, I don't think!!
I don't think there is anything wrong with washing your hands after leaving a public place, and especially before unloading the groceries. The problem is specifically with hand santiizers that have anti-bacterial stuff that causes superbugs. If you want to wipe your hands with an alcohol based wipe, no probems. (BTW, these days we kind search the shelves to find dishwashing liquid WITHOUT anti-bacterial crap. It is still there, but usually on the bottom shelf or behind something else.)
I hear that Viva Laughlin has been cancelled.
They have wipes mounted at my Kroger. Frankly, sometimes my kid drools/gnaws/etc on the carts, so if you want to sanitize, I applaud you. I also see parents with these cloth cart-covers to prevent their wee ones from touching the germy carts. I am all about happy fun germs, myself.
What is Viva Laughlin?
I'm part of the problem, aren't I?
