"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I'm randomly getting off early today. Like 3 or 4 hours early.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm randomly getting off early today. Like 3 or 4 hours early.

Now I'm picturing some random number generator hooked up to a sign that says, "Daisy Jane go home!" The sign will, of course, light up when the random number generator (perhaps based on the random decay of some radioactive substance) is triggered....

I finally got my cookie.

I have a brownie!

A nummy big-ass brownie with chocolate chips....

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I finally got my cookie.

If you give a Scola a cookie, you have to get him some milk...

That might be cool!

This almost never happens. Usually the only time we're off early is if we have to work extra hours some other time.

I always get very excited when I check out a library book, or find a used book, and it's been annotated by somebody else. It's like a little gift, where you get a peek inside someone else's thought processes.

Sometimes it's a gift. Sometimes it's more like a curse, when you go, "What were they thinking?"

Yeah, but at least some of the time when it's like that, you can at least point and laugh and go "Holy crap, there's a lot of wackos in the world!"

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Anyone have a special celebratory treat on Friday?

4:15 meeting cancelled. Not that that's an every Friday thing, or a cookie, but it's darned nice not having to be in a meeting.
