How bad is it that it wasn't the fact that I woke up coughing and snezing that tipped the balance to needing to stay home, but the fact that a cat had horked all over was? Not that I need to watch whichever cat, but coughing & sneezing+ hork was just Too Much.

Happy Birthday Burrell!

I should have taken the hint when tornado coverage last night bumped the premiere of Viva Laughlin to 2:07 am in my market. Watching it used up an hour of my life and gave me a headache in return.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Happy Birthday Burrell!!

In other news, it looks like iTunes screwed up and has tonight's episode of Avatar available ahead of schedule.

It was good.

I just stuck around to watch Hugh Jackman's arrival, singing/lip-synching "Sympathy for the Devil." That man is smokin' hot, even when he's in something as bad as Viva Laughlin. BTW, all that lip-synching to get around the "musical TV" label? Ain't foolin' nobody, and just annoyed the hell out of me. Either you're a musical and embrace it, or just skip the songs completely. I could barely hear Hugh over Mick and the boys!

Speaking of singing along, this bird is totally rockin' the house!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

They're emulating "Blackpool", the British series on which it was based. But they're not emulating it with enough gusto, at least not in the twenty minutes or so I watched last night. If you're going to be singing along to the soundtrack, you have to go for it. Unless you're Melanie Griffith. Then you should shut the hell up.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Is the lead in Viva Laughlin from the show Monarch of the Glen? It kept weirding me out. Also weirded me out how Madchen Amick has seemed to not age since Twin Peaks.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Happy birthday Burrell!!!

ION, FBI raids illusionist Copperfield's warehouse

LOS ANGELES - FBI agents have seized nearly $2 million in cash from a Las Vegas warehouse owned by illusionist David Copperfield, local media reports said on Thursday.

The agents also took a computer hard drive and a memory chip from a digital camera system during Wednesday's late-night operation. The reports said the raid stems from an investigation in Seattle.

I suppose there's a joke in there somewhere.

No word on what the investigation is about. The $2 mil was probably not intended for homes for homeless puppies....

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Happy birthday, Burrell!

Thinking good thoughts for you and K and Gracie, Kat. And K's parents sound like good folks.
