Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

And that's why he felt so bad for the dog!

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

I can't! It was loads of fun, but I will be paying off my credit card for the next five years.

Though I suppose it's possible San Francisco isn't to blame for all debt.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Yeah, but still. I think that's a little harsh.

If it had said "2008: The end of an error," I wouldn't have harshed on it. It's the fact that they specified the inaugural date and got it wrong that bugged me. I mean, in the whole process of designing, printing, and shipping that sticker, no one noticed the mistake? This isn't just one person having a brain fart or making a typo. I know I'm a pedant, but I stand by my cringe.

All my debt is here. Well, except for the nationally funded debts.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I just booked a haircut appointment at Mario Tricoci for Wednesday. I've never spent $50-60 on just a cut before, so I hope they give me a good cut to make it worth the money.

I'm still waivering a bit on whether I should color it or not. I don't mind the grey, a lot of people have told me that the grey actually works for me, and if I start coloring, I'm afraid I'll have to stick with it.

OTOH, I'll probably end up looking like the oldest person at the wedding, even though I won't be, just because every other woman that I know will be there all color their hair, including Mom and her generation. Feh.

I'm all about easy dosing of pets (and people.) But having sustained scars and upchuck trying to pill cats..I'm a big proponent of injections and the like.

If ever I'm asked to pill a cat, I'm asking if there is an injectible form. SO EASY. The nasal stuff is closer to illicit, I think, even when it really isn't. Too much...snorting? I do get fussing over too-much RE:medication and I've got minor issues. My drugs of choice are a whole lot of advil, now that my beloved blue sudafed is off the market and I'm reluctant to try other stuff because most knocks me silly. Even when it feels like a spike had been put through my cheek. I KNOW I should see a Dr. I'm getting there. It's probably allergies. Or like my dad, a surgery-worthy crusty sinus egg of nasty shit. Which is gross. Back to the denial advil.

I almost met Ali. Almost!

I'm supposed to give my cat ear drops twice a day for the next ten days. He was NOT PSYCHED about the first attempt.

The attempt at giving my cat eye ointment/drops was such a huge failure that her low-level eye infection actually persisted for nearly three years before we finally got rid of it with the liquid antibiotic I had to give her for her teeth cleaning. It wasn't supposed to work on the eye problem, but since it did, I'm not complaining. Giving her the liquid medication from the eye dropper was much easier than trying to hold her head still and squirt drops into her eye.

Ever fired your gun in the air and yelled, 'Aaaaaaah?'

Oh, wow. I have this sister that I haven't seen in almost 14 years (since she was 1) but we kept in contact until about 5 years ago. Her mother remarried, moved them and didn't leave a forwarding address or number. I had no idea how to contact her again until now. I just found her on MySpace. I left her a message and she wrote back and I'm just really excited right now.
