I think the Oscar the Grouch type character was named Moshe?
why do I love this? Maybe just because Moshe is fun to say.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Stop bleeding, shrift! All the cool kids are coagulating anyway
Coagulation has commenced. But who says I'm cool?
I am home. Again. With the phlegm and the coughing and the runny nose.
Fuck.
I was out sick yestertday but now I'm back.
And one side of me is leaking. Just one side, in spite of medication. WTF?
Political drive-by. I just wanted to brag about a post from frequent High Hat contributor Phil Nugent (by which I mean that he regularly writes half the damn issues) in which he shines the clearest light on the Bush Administration that I've ever read: [link] Read it. It's a thing of truth and beauty.
That was awesome Corwood!
I want to elect this sentance from that essay to public office:
In the last few years, some people have devoted themselves to trying to find the smoking gun document that would "prove" that Bush was dead set on war with Iraq from at least as early as 9/11 and that the months leading up to the bombs dropping were less about exploring options than product-marketing the inevitable, which is kind of like trying to find the smoking gun evidence that warthogs are ugly.
I love that guy. And I'm in awe of his ability to turn out insightful and touching essays (or mini-essays) on a regular basis.
Some pictures of the new dog.
I can sort of remember the days when the Iraq invasion was first appearing as an idea in the aftermath of 9/11 and wondering WTF? I think I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and thought the saber rattling might have been a way to encourage compliance with U.N. directives, but I was schooled by the people who took a more cynical view of the Bush Administration.
