So, how was your summer? Mine was fun. Saw some fish. Went mad with hunger. Hallucinated a whole bunch.

I would rather sleep than work.

Well yeah. I wish I could figure out how my work could be to sleep.

Liese, I had 3 of the same kind but darker wood in my classroom. LOVE. Hmm... I wonder where they are... not that I could use them.

Robin, where were the bookshelves in your old place? I'm sure you and DH will figure something out, even if it means book go on rotation, because you are creative like that.

So, what should I have for lunch?

Food of course. Or a nap.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I would like to drop a firebomb on fandom and then sleep all weekend. Can I do that?

I will personally help you deploy the firebomb. Fandom loses, bigtime.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

So, what should I have for lunch?

A bagel.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I would like to drop a firebomb on fandom and then sleep all weekend.

It's not going to interfere with the new Atlantis tonight, is it?

TV programming will continue as scheduled. Unless the WGA goes on strike, of course.

What has it done this week?

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

So, um, I need to go all memememe for a minute. A few months ago, a young lady wrote into GCS asking for advice. She was depressed, couldn't see any reason to go on, and was thinking about hurting herself. I immediately wrote back telling her not to hurt herself, asking if there was anyone at all she could talk to, and that there was absolutely nothing wrong with asking for help. I closed with asking her to write me back and let me know how she was doing.

She wrote back last night. Because of my mail, she went to see a doctor. She's now on anti-depressants, working on Cognitive Therapy lessons, and feels happier and more in control of her life than she has since she was in 1st grade.

I am ... gobsmacked. I keep reading her mail and grinning. I helped someone find a happy ending. I'm going to be ridiculously happy about this for a very long time.

Jilli, that's a GREAT thing to be happy about. Helping someone through a dark spot is a gift.

Jilli, that's wonderful!
