I wonder if the rise of more breed specific rescue societies means that unwanted dogs are being directed to more places other than general shelters.
Or maybe people can find the specific breed of doggie they want by searching shelters via the intertubes....

I got my hand bitten repeatedly over the weekend, by black swans. Though one of them proved well-mannered and while it fed I wound up with a black swan's head in the palm of my hand.

Why, were they acting under your orders? Wallybee found it most entertaining that I was remonstrating with them. Not nearly as entertaining as she found it when I almost got bitten in the face, though.
