GA: I don't understand how they are going to get rid of so many interns hanging around all the time, but they've really got to.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Swooping in to wish Jen a happy birthday and anyone else I've missed since Wednesday, and to report that my sister is now happily married! The wedding was great, even though I returned from Las Vegas to find out it was 15 degrees warmer here in Chicago than out there--we had to wear our jackets/sweatshirts during the Saturday day-after-wedding picnic, since there was a wind chill (72 degrees with a 40-mph wind blowing meant it was damn cold under the pavillion at the park).

At the reception, when they had the first dance by the newly married couple, they were coming out onto the dance floor and the maid of honor leaned over to me and said, "Watch, they'll dance to something like 'Jumpin' Jack Flash'," and I disagreed, thinking they'd do something more traditional. Boy, was I wrong. They kicked off their shoes, and then the music started. Well, not music, but the emcee introducing Travolta and Thurman for the twist contest in Pulp Fiction! Then, sis and BIL replicated the dance (BIL told me he'd been practicing for months). So fun! And then, for the groom-and-his-mother dance, they played "Guantanamara" (my Cuban BIL's mom's favorite song). Sis's new MIL has great rhythm!

Cash, I don't know whether I've said anywhere, but congrats to DH on the new job, and I'm sending all kinds of smooth, peaceful resettling vibes your way.

Jesse. WORD. I mean, I don't give a shit about all of these people, not even a little. And in fact, when Grey et al were interns, there didn't seem to be so many, nor so many residents. I don't get it. I think there is something really wrong. Still love Bailey and I really was happy about MamaBurke's talk with Cristina!

Cult cookie favourites would have to be homemade. I don't have a deep and abiding love for purchased cookies, although some will do in a pinch

Agreed. My family is pretty much spoiled with a Mom that cooks and bakes from scratch 90% of the time (we've made her relax somewhat). Nothing about store bought cakes excite me what-so-ever. However if you promise me a piece of my Mom's oatmeal spice cake, banana cream or pecan pies or even the secret family recipe German Chocolate Cake...

Cereal:

Kathy, that's SO COOL! Except now if I ever get married, I'll want to find something even cooler to do for my (uh, our) first dance, and I don't think there is anything. Glad it was fun!

Huh. Tivo cut off the last scene in GA between George and Callie. Even my Tivo doesn't give a shit.

I think theoretically, there were other interns running around with non-Bailey residents, we just didn't know them. Did Callie have interns? Meh. At least they haven't tried to give most of them personalities.

Why is it that no matter how many roles I see him in, Richard Burgi will always be The Sentinel to me??

No, definitely during the pilot, there were other residents and interns. But I don't remember Callie having interns at all. I remember being shocked that she was a resident at all.

Sneezy now. Damn. I should make some bread.
