Someone just catcalled in the hallway behind me and yelled "Shake it, Daddy!"
anyone else confused about the use of "Daddy". While ita can kill you with an eyelash, she is definitely all girl (heh, typed ass girl at first)

Heh. Ah, no. That exchange was one I was merely peripheral to. When I am mistaken for a guy, no one ever wants me to shake it.
It's kinda sad.
Class full of "too smart to do the work"s. Some of them deal with it by doing other, but related, work, and I'm okay with that. But one just does nothing at all. Oy.
What have you done in the last year while Matilda went from born to one?
Let's see.
Flew a lot.
Crossed two more states off my to-do list (only five to go!)
Turned 30.
Met a girl. Longest relationship evah, for me.
Lost a job.
Got a job.
Planning to move cross-country.
Got a tattoo.
Um. New job. And that's pretty much it. Now I'm depressed.
I didn't even do that! Although I admit it's difficult to be depressed when listening to Type O Negative cover Sarah McLachlan. I'll be depressed when the song is over.
Link? What's the song?
Got a snazzy new-to-me car after a year without. Also, bought some furniture.
I probably just killed five trees printing out review copies of this document. Which is going to get revised to hell and back, but that's not my problem, becaue I have three and 1/2 hours to go here.
Holy crap, there's a whole bunch of good Shakespeare being done in the next few years: Jude Law as Hamlet (directed by Branagh) in London in 2009, David Tennant as Hamlet costarring Patrick Stewart as Claudius in Stratford next year, and Ian McKellen is bringing his King Lear to the Brooklyn Academy of Music with Sylvester McCoy (another former Doctor Who) as the Fool (date unannounced as yet).
Published a book.I just got a call from a friend. P, in fact.
P: "I'm just going to cut to the chase. I'm at the airport, reading a book and you're in it."
Me: "Awesome."
*blinky sound*
"Uh... Did I ever actually tell you about paperdol's book?"
P: "No."
Me: "My bad. But you are reading Vampire People?"
P: "Yep."
Me: "Awesome."
P: "Good book. Lunch next week?"
Me: "Yeah."
P: "Cool. You gonna go post about this now?"
Me: "Yeah."
P: "Awesome."
Now I need more coffee so I can mourn the toaster that goes to Powell's now instead of to me because I clearly failed Pimp Your Friends 101.
