Polgara and I are watching the apparently slowest game on the planet - the Red Sox/Angels game. Top of the ninth, all tied up!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Poor Kat and Liese. I'm finally able to chill for one night. And watch tv. Heroes? Or Eureka? Probably Eureka, but I'll let the hub decide.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Actually, it's not so much that I am awake, but that I can't go to sleep yet. It's the incapable of getting anything done part that is me.

I got a new haircut. While she was cutting my hair, I swallowed enough hair clippings that I fear I may now have a bezoar.

I too live in the zone of being incapable of getting things done. It makes me sad sometimes.

But the truth is most of the time I embrace my inner lazy, shiftless slob and opt for baking scones or playing dress up with the kids.

lori, I gave up on that game. I can't cheer for either team, even causally, so I moved on. I just need to stick to National League play off games.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We are watching the Tivoed Yankees/Indians game and they are being besieged by bugs. Massive clouds of them. They stopped the game for the players to spray on bug spray, but it doesn't seem to be helping, they just showed a close up of the batter's neck, and there were probably 75 gnats stuck to it.

Don't worry, they're in Cleveland.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I live in this place. It's where I should be paying my rent.

Yeah. Dude. We should move out. This is not the place I want to live forever. I would do something about it, but see above re: incapable of doing anything. Well, I looked at some bathtubs online. What do you folks think are admirable features in a bathtub?

Anyway, I'm so grumpy and irrational about the band. I think the lead dude lacks the balls to be leader, and the rest of us all sit on our asses waiting to see what he does. Which tonight was...nothing. And then he lost half the cash from the gig. Fortunately I already got paid, but geesh.

Choose new songs, shut down the selection of new songs, pick one genre and stick with it, expand into multiple genres, jam around, try to learn new material, work the old material. I don't care, just do something!

Ha. Thought I was done being miffed, but no. See what I mean about how much emotional space this takes up? Just not necessary in my life.

I could be thinking happy optimistic thoughts about the build, but instead, grump.

Okay, happy. Exterior walls and siding are all up. Interior walls got mostly framed today, would have all but for the crazy wind. We're going to need to plant some of those free arbor day trees to be a windbreak to the southwest. And then to the opposite side for monsoon.

It was supercool to see the interior wall framing, because you're really able to get a feel for where the rooms will be. Again, everything looks fine except the kitchen and guest bedroom will be smallish.

Now tagless for your comfort.

What do you folks think are admirable features in a bathtub?

I grew up with a giant, cast iron, claw-footed tub with a gentle, sloping back that held heat FOREVER. I miss that tub to this day. It is the OTT.
