Wesley: Feng Shui. Gunn: Right. What's that mean again? Wesley: That people will believe anything. Actually, in this place, Feng Shui will probably have enormous significance. I'll align my furniture the wrong way and suddenly catch fire or turn into a pudding.

'Conviction (1)'

Natter 54: Right here, dammit.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

So. It seems the "Zionist Freemasons" have taken control of the world.

Ohhhh, those people are the nuttiest. (The arrested people, not the zionist freemasons. Did you know the freemasons are having a statewide open-house on the 19th? They're advertising it on the radio, although apparently you can only become a freemason if you have balls, because they were very specific about their vision of freely masonic manliness. No word on any zionist recruitment advertising as yet.)

I mean, they're from New Hampshire and all, but being willing to associate with Randy Weaver (giving him a microphone, even!) is getting up there in the almonds-and-filberts category of insane.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Google 411? Who knew?

I knew about the google sms thing.

I don't know if I'm allowed to send those SMSs. I had them turn some weird feature off on my account because I'd apparently signed up for a joke a day at 5$ a month.

My brother told me about it, about a month ago, and I have no idea how long it's been around. I did it once, to see, and only got charged my usual text message fee. But I'm on one of those disposable phones with no (current) plan. Right now, it just gets used as a tech heavy alarm to remind me to shoot the cat when T's over here for tutoring.

I did not know this. I am so unhip.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

From ita's link:

I am our Elastoplast, related to everyone, whereas Raymond is only related to me.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but just because Raymond doesn't have the same father doesn't mean he's not related to her other children. Poor kid if that's how his mother views the situation.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Years ago some friends of my parents had a daughter who got married and had kids ... but she didn't take her husband's name. Some "friends" of the friends were insisting that because the daughter didn't change her name that, legally, the grandkids were no relation to the grandparents. um ... huh?

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I just changed the color toner cartridge on my work printer (an HP DeskJet 990). It's printing sorta stripey--like little green bands across the part of the image. Is this....

1. A new cartridge issue that will sort itself out after a few more pages?
2. A sign that I need to take the cartridge out and shake it more thoroughly?
3. A bad cartridge?

I always vote with shake the cartridge, but I never do it myself, just in case.
