I may be love's bitch, but at least I'm man enough to admit it.

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

I'm in Cape Breton for the weekend to celebrate: A) My Parents' 50th Wedding Anniversary and B) Canadian Thanksgiving.

I didn't know it was your parent's 50th. Congratulations to them, and good luck thinking of a gift.

Art Crawl!!!

There were Serenity comics - not Firefly - but they were not online.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

You can buy 'em through Dark Horse's website.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I just hope that unflattering monstrosity is not supposed to be making SJP look good. Because OMG it does not.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That dress looks AWFUL on her, and it's mostly her body being incompatible with the design. In fact, if you tucked in those almost wings of the bodice, I'd wear that in a snap for the appropriate occasion. I love that kind of excessive skirt.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Ouch. And if you click through to the picture of her bending down? Eeeugh.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I love that kind of excessive skirt.

I remember at the Viviane Westwood exhibit (Hi Hec! Hi JZ!) the little placard by a dress with a similar skirt said it was trying to imitate the wrinkles and folds in an old painting.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I don't mind the skirt on the dress but the bodice is awful. And what is that shit in her hair?

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

The skirt is gorgeous. The feathery thing in her hair is fun. The bodice is a crime, and the stylist should have known better.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

You know, I actually thought she was playing Miss Havisham. Which that is a pretty good costume for, because I could totally see Miss Havishams boobs as becoming too small for her dress.
