Funny thing about black and white. You mix it together and you get gray. And it doesn't matter how much white you try and put back in, you're never gonna get anything but gray.

The Homecoming dance is tomorrow. I never did sign up for a duty, but I think I probably should. What do teachers wear to Homecoming dances?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Dude, I'm so not ready for FNL. And I missed last week's Numb3rs because it rolled off with so much other tv there. I meant to clear the tivo in time for sports season, but I didn't. And then there was The War and Band of Brothers and the SO spent his show money on getting Center Ice, so now we've got tons o tv queuing up.

Probably a good thing that I accidentally let Kid Nation fall off. Think I'll drop Bionic Woman, too.

I want to go to Jamaica!

This weekend I hope to see the Carolina Chocolate drops (tonight, avec pizza, if it doesn't rain); maybe see Kate P. and the NCistas (must email for status update); playdate for me and both kids (nicely matching family, with ages and interests). Plus the usual grind of groceries, laundry, vacuuming, with special urgency because I am hosting book club on Tuesday, and dammit if my slipcovers don't have baby puke on 'em.

Art Crawl!!!

Woo hoo for new FNL!!! I'm so excited about it.

Also, tonight they've got the one (and only) David Greenwalt episode of Moonlight and the first BSG webisodes.

In addition to that, I need to do major housework. And I really, really intend to do that. Assuming that the 90 degree temps don't totally kick my butt.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

This time next week I'll be in Jamaica. This week may be very slow.

Elevator says: 64% of Americans spend more time with their PCs than their significant others¹ and 48% would rather help a friend move than help a friend with a computer problem².

¹: Does this mean their computer at home only?
²: Damned skippy. I'd also rather help them bury a body.

This weekend: sleeping, writing, maybe putting some blue mud on my head, and going to a consultation appointment for my next tattoo.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Elevator says: 64% of Americans spend more time with their PCs than their significant others¹

Does this include people without significant others? Because for me, any amount of computer usage > 0 would put me in that 64% category.

Does it include (a) work and (b) sleeping in bed? Because I spend my whole work day with my pc, but my whole asleep time with my so.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

And to follow up on flea's question, if the laptop is on the bedside table, is that counted as time with neither or both?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

To comine everyone: my laptop is in my bed, and I have no SO.
