I'm sorry. You were going to ask me to choose, right? Did you want to finish?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I have pretty bad insomnia issues, but Ambien scares me. I think it clearly shouldn't be taken by anyone caring for small children. In fact, it pretty much scares me from taking any other Rx sleep aid either. For now I'm stuck with melatonin.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Nathan was on today's Ellen and continues to be adorable, but I can't start watching DH just for him.

The status is NOT quo.

Unfortunately, I can't take melatonin. It screwes with my hormones something fierce, and I dream so intensely that I wake up tired.

I definitely wouldn't take Ambien if there were any chance I would need to wake up before eight hours have passed, but given that I don't have kids, that's not something I worry about. However, I have never found a sleep aid that allows me to sleep solidly and not have crazy dreams before this one, so as stupid and sloppy as I was last night? I am grateful that I have it available when I need it.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

That is pretty cool, sarameg.

Sarameg and her family already hit maximum coolness for me by knowing Clyde Tombaugh. There is no room for more coolness.

As far as I know I haven't done anything scary while on Ambien, but one night I did take it but then got distracted by something and the next thing I knew it was 2 a.m. and I was lying on my bed with my clothes on and all the lights on.

Ginger, exactly! I think that the thing that screwed me up was that I tried to stay awake for too long. The only other times I've taken it, I've gone right to sleep. Now I know: If I take it, I go right to bed. Immediately.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yeah. I'm really bad with going to sleep before I feel sleepiness. So Ambien was hella dangerous for me. I guess I could behave now, but I have no real urge to rush that.

With dilaudid, if I bother to close my eyes for a couple seconds, I will doze off. It's just that sometimes it's really hard to convince me to close my eyes. I have to feel safe first. [eta: Huh. That was the sound of me having a reasonably large epiphany...]

Okay, the gnocchi I had for dinner were (was?) disgusting. I knew I shouldn't have had my first exposure to the food be out of a package like that, but figured...how bad could it be? Their other stuff ain't bad.

Blech.

I also found out that my niece is to be named Neave.

If it helps, I know someone very cool named Neeve (pronounced...neeev), and have always thought her name was neat.

It seems like at least ONE Hanson should be 30 by now.

Wait, I'm older than even the oldest Hanson? Geeez.

At a guess, you can copy a key.

And it's annoying to NOT be able to copy a key, and have to pay the dealer extra money for one. Harumph.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Plus, the wand feels an awful lot like a lot of other things at the bottom of my purse, where keys don't.
